To say that "Modern Warfare" was genius is understating it. The post-apocalyptic paintball fight sprawling across the Greendale camus, littered with action movie references every which way, left me turning at the scenes. If there's one episode in the season to be enshrined in history, it's this one.
The episode, brilliantly directed by Justin, had a real action movie feel and moved along with as much shooting as the typical episode of 24 while maintaining the silliness we know and love. What everyone is fighting for is priority registration--the choice to choose anything class at any time. One by one, the characters get taken down until only Jeff and Britta are left. They sleep together, relieving that tension Abed was talking about. Eventually, Senor Chang, the master of paintball is sent in and Britta sacrifices herself to let Jeff win.
In an episode that completely went off the rails, it's hard to judge the impact of them sleeping together, so we'll just have to see how this affects their relationship and the group's chemistry.
Score: 9.9/10 (I already gave out a 10/10 for Breaking Bad)
