ABC is trying to save Scrubs by moving it to the beginning of the Wednesday comedy block. It's a near impossibility anything will happen, so don't get your hopes up. But at least we can watch the final two episodes if that's all your looking for. There won't be a proper resolution for the new cast of characters; next weeks episode is just a regular episode.
I'm still not loving the retooled show, but it's watchable and at times, comes close to the original. Cole has been the least believable character. He's annoying, rude, and arrogant most of the time to everyone's anger. Somehow, Lucy is his girlfriend, and he uses his connections to push people around.
The episode took another step with his character, putting him in difficult situation where he can only rely on others for support. His mole turns out to be cancerous, so he has to go in for an operation. No one other than Lucy is there for support, and Cole realizes he may have been treating the wrong way. Kelso, who is in the hospital for an operation, gives words of advice to Cole. If the series went on a bit longer, these characters would actually be pretty good. Without much help from the old characters, the new characters made the show work. Too bad there's one episode left.
Score: 8.8/10
