"Cackle-Bladder Blood" dived right into Jane's backstory with the introduction of his brother-in-law, a con artist, who may have killed someone. The case is pretty good, and has a few good twists which keeps the episode moving. We also learn that Jane's wife's entire family are carnies, but more importantly, we see the lingering regret Jane has. The decisions he made still weigh heavily on him and there's not much he can do about it.
