The sixth season of Bones has been greatly hampered by the ongoing relationship drama between Booth, Brennan, and Hannah, and I've spent the past three reviews complaining about the various aspects. In short, it's been done before and the conclusion is clear.
With "The Body in the Bounty," however, we're reminded that Bones can be a charming, delightful show without the dumb Brennan-Booth stuff cluttering everything up. Right off the bat, the episode starts strong, not with relationship talk but discussion of the perfect murder. The "intern" this week, the science guy (David Alan Grier), provides plenty of laughs and isn't too hammy, even when he says the silly lines intended for the lines. And the final scene of the show, Brennan coming out in costume, was impossible not to smile at.
