Again, I have no time this week, so it's supposed to be a short review.
Four episodes into Boardwalk Empire, and it's starting to feel like Treme, except with far too pointed dialogue and a less colorful setting. Seemingly exciting things are happening, murders, chopped fingers, a love triangle, but there really isn't forward momentum to draw me in. Thematically, "Anastasia" does a great job showing how each character isn't who they appear to be on the outside, but other than Chalky's mindblowing speech, there was nothing that jumped out.
Score: 8.9/10
