With an ever-evolving show like Supernatural, sometimes it's best to wait and reserve judgment until we see the entire picture. Unlike the previous seasons, season six is starting on square one--with a new direction and showrunner. At this point in time, I can't say I'm too impressed with what I see. The monster parts are lacking, and the character interaction only passable.
Thankfully "Two and a Half Men" is not as bad as Two and a Half Men, although the episode is weak by Supernatural standards. Shapeshifters have been kidnapping babies and Sam drags Dean back into the hunt. The majority of the humor derives from Dean having to take care of a baby, and unfortunately, it's kind of annoying after a while. In the end, the baby is taken by an Alpha, the powerful originator of shapeshifters, and Samuel makes a call to a mysterious someone to inform him that the Alpha was not captured.
Lisa makes the decision to tell Dean to leave, knowing he has to be out there. So now it looks like Supernatural is back to basics--the brothers on the road in Metallicar, facing off against the forces of evil. We'll just have to see how it goes next week.
