ABC must be happy with V getting a 5.2 and 14.3 million viewers which exceeded my expectations. I had expected 10 million viewers and a 3.5, so when I saw the overnight numbers, I was amazed. Then the finals came in and it was .2 higher. It was weird seeing Dancing with the Stars (3.1) actually lose viewers in the 18-49 demo since it is used as a lead-in, but it still increased in total viewership. The Forgotten was down from last week to 1.9 and there's nothing to say about it anymore. I'll be canceled.
CBS took a hit from V, so NCIS (4.3), NCIS: LA (3.6), and The Good Wife (2.7) were all down. I'm starting to worry about about the Good Wife since it is one of the lowest performing CBS dramas. The upside to having a show on CBS is that it is almost guaranteed to have high ratings. The downside is that if it isn't high enough, there's a good chance the show will be canceled.
NBC did quite well with The Biggest Loser (3.5) and an improved The Jay Leno Show (2.0). It's probably an anomaly, but Leno was up .2 from last week which is surprising because he is falling on other days.
