Halfway through the episode, there wasn't many bullets and I was wondering exactly where the bullets in "Bulletville" were. Well, the second half rolled around and the bullets began pouring. First, Raylan and Boyd save Ava before coming under seize from the cartel members and take them out.
Aside from the shooting and awesome ending, Boyd's growth from the first episode has been nothing short of incredible. He goes from hateful neo-Nazi criminal to repentant Christian (with some shooting, of course) Since his release from prison, we weren't quite sure if he was playing another game or if he had actually changed. Walton Goggins brought his A-game and somehow made his character very sympathetic. After destroying the shipment last week, Bo goes after him and kills his buddies, forcing Boyd into a personal quest for his own version of justice.
Arlo, not to be outdone in the worst father department, is revealed to be working with Bo and agrees to give up his own son. But Raylan already has everything figured out and shoots Arlo before taking out two guys Bo sends.
Looking ahead at the second season, there are several loose ends. Boyd is going after the remaining cartel member in Harlan and has broken many laws, so he'll be in legal trouble. Arlo has to be locked up this time. Winona appears open to the possibility of taking Raylan back, letting slip that her husband is living in an athletic club. The cartel will have to go after Raylan with increased vigor after this latest incident.
