The third, and possibly final, season of Lie to Me ended last night on positive note. "Killer App" has the proper intensity without going overboard. Cal doesn't throw himself into a life-threatening situation and doesn't bully people for no reason, Gillian gets the largest role she's had in a very long time, and there's several heartwarming scenes with Emily.
For a series finale, "Killer App" wouldn't work that well, ending with Cal's admission that he really loves Gillian which would be left unresolved. After the great scenes between Cal and Gillian in the episode, I would definitely look forward to that storyline.
Well, the ratings are in and last night's episode drew a nice 2.2, down from last week's surprising 2.5, but a good number nonetheless, considering there was no House lead in. With these ratings the past two weeks, Fox is probably giving serious consideration to running Lie to Me during the summer.
