Review - Outlaw Season 1 Episode 1 Pilot

Bring out your inner liberal! Commute every murderer and rapist! Legalize LSD! Legalize prostitution! Tout your knowledge of science in front of Jesus-loving, ignorant conservatives! It's time for Outlaw!

Jimmy Smits's new television show is not only worse than Cane, it's leagues worse, one of the most pathetic displays of political pandering, and that's including much of the asinine stuff on The West Wing. Somehow we're supposed to believe that Smits's character, Cyrus Garza, makes a complete ideological change based on one statement from his recently deceased father.

What's worse, he steps down from the Supreme Court to become a regular lawyer. First of all he shouldn't have gotten into the Supreme Court with a gambling problem and second, he'd be able to effect wide-scale change on the Supreme Court if it's splitting 5-4.

Just when NBC couldn't get worse, it gives us Outlaw--and throws out logic.
