The second episode of Body of Proof is much like the first, with Megan taking the lead and doing the heavy lifting while the other characters help her out and have a few good scenes with her. Simultaneously, Megan tries to deal with her daughter who knows Megan wasn't there for her in the past and isn't ready to jump into things. Eventually, the crime is solved and Megan comes to an understanding with her daughter.
There's is nothing groundbreaking about the series, or even special, in comparison to another show that aired last night, The Killing. But Dana Delany knows how to be entertaining and compelling, and the crime solving is decent since the writers often inject personality into the other characters.
I like to keep track of ratings, and Body of Proof did great following Dancing With the Stars last Tuesday, getting a 3.0 in the 18-49 demo. I think ABC was trying to garner even more interest for the show, placing it after Desperate Housewives last night, but flopped, getting only 2.0. We'll see how it does this Tuesday.
Score: 8.6/10
