"The Thespian Catalyst" is one of those episodes where you ask yourself what the hell is going on. The truth is, not much happens in the episode. People are doing and saying funny things, but it ultimately adds up to a bizarre mash of ideas. Penny's acting lesson with Sheldon randomly goes off to Sheldon breaking down and telling his mother he loves her (since this is TBBT, we don't know if this is sincerity that will carry over or momentary silliness), without a resolution for the class he's teaching. Raj's imaginations go absolutely nowhere, and amounts to more pathetic Raj.
