Sometimes you want to have sympathy for Raj, but the writers make it so damn hard. On the first date with the deaf girl, Raj is already an obnoxious prick, slinging deaf jokes left and right. It's hard to feel bad for him in the end since there wasn't anything to like about him in the episode. We truly are laughing at him, not with him. Raj is just a pathetic character the writers make fun of constantly without giving him any positives.
The B-plot wasn't much better, with Sheldon being weird as usual. His die rolling wasn't over the top enough to breach the realm of funny and it was hardly intelligent. I'm fine with Sheldon doing weird things, but it has to be something more substantial than rolling a die all the time to determine what to do.
