Review - The X-Files Season 1 Episode 6 Shadows

Many of the first couple episodes suffer from the lack of anything too creative and exciting. That's to be expected of a show in it's first season and "Shadows" is another to add to the list. The first season, overall, isn't great either, but it's serviceable has several good episodes here and there.

"Shadows" is a typical ghost story that, like the other episodes, ends with no explanation of the supernatural. However, people are actually arrested this time, progress compared to previous episodes where there wasn't a tangible bad guy.

A secretary is distraught over her boss, Howard Graves, dying and quits her job. Soon she finds her spectral boss protecting her. That's where Mulder and Scully come in. Under Scully's urging, Mulder doesn't look further into how the ghost thing works, instead focusing on what the ghost is telling him. The company is helping a terrorist group named Isfahan and Graves was killed for almost revealing it.

I'm way behind on schedule and with 3 shows airing tonight, I'm afraid this is the only episode for today unless I finish reviewing the other episodes before 11.

Score: 8.5/10
