Review - Psych Season 4 Episode 15 The Head, The Tail, The Whole Damn Episode

The season finale, airing next week, deals with Mr. Yang from the third season finale. It probably won't be that silly, and we might get some real drama out of the show. "The Head, The Tail, The Whole Damn Episode" basically emptied out all the craziness and silliness left in the season. I don't know how the writers could top themselves.

A shark kills someone, and Lassiter decides to jump the gun, acting as Shawn and declaring it a murder. He doesn't know quite how to go with the crazy, so he struggles over the decision. He eventually drops that idea, but Shawn picks it right up and finds the murderer. It's the fisherman played by Michael Hogan.

Jeri Ryan guest starred as the shark expert, Kim, and got along really great with Henry. Maybe she'll be back. I thought it would be awesome to Henry catch the first shark, he randomly showed up on TV with it.

And then there's the references. The episode was chalk full of references to past episodes, and Shawn wondered about some cases that weren't really resolved in the past that people noticed. There was a reference to Leverage which Jeri Ryan was a part of for the second half of the season. Kim doesn't want people to call her Dr. Kim because it's for radio hosts, a reference to Dr. Drew.

Score: 8.9/10
